How old were you when you started playing music?

5 years old on drums. 

How many instruments do you play? 

Drums, piano, keyboards, guitar, bass, and just recently started playing the mandolin.

Who were/are your influences?

Michael Martin Murphy, Lee Greenwood, Steve Wariner, Skip Ewing, James Taylor, Elton John, David Lanz, 70's music and songwriters.

What made you want to start playing and writing music?

I only knew one way to vent my feelings and writing was the first way that I discovered how to do that. Playing music has always come naturally for me.

What kind of guitar do you play?

That should be "guitars." I have two Takamine acoustic/electrics, a Fender electric Telecaster, a Fender acoustic/electric Telecaster, and an Ibanez electric, as well as a Fender mandolin.

What is your songwriting process?

It varies. I write differently at different times of the day. Sometimes the music comes to me first, and sometimes it's the lyrics. I guess it's different every time.

Where do you want to be in 10 years?

Playing in every country on the PLANET! I want to touch people all over the world.

What are your plans for the rest of 2006 and for 2007?

Finish writing and recording my next CD and start on a piano album.

What is your favorite song that you've written or performed?

"Wildfire". 

What is your favorite song of all time?

That's a hard one because there are so many. Probably "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" or "Wildfire".

When is your next CD due out?

Hopefully the late fall/early winter timeframe. I'd like to have that project finished up in time to allow me to record a short holiday music sampler to release over the holidays.

Are you single?                        No. Engaged and in bliss!

What do you do when you're not working?

Travel, write, spend time with my fiancé and our dogs.

What is you philosophy on music?

Make it real. If you haven't lived it, it will show through the music.
